A few years ago, I had an awakening…. I’d been working in higher education for a very long time—teaching, supervising staff, climbing the administrative ladder, leading teams doing outreach planning, development, and evaluation. I'd earned my doctorate in Counselor Education and for the last decade or so, worked at Penn State Public Broadcasting with a fabulous team. Together, we moved mountains to create media and outreach programs that impacted audiences around the world. Playing a leadership role in that work was incredibly rewarding, but in those rare moments when I was still and had moments of quiet reflection, I felt a pull to move on, to do something else…
